Tanjung Puting Klotok Tour: Orangutans, Birds & Night Herping | 3D2N

A three-day, two-night wildlife tour on the Sekonyer River in Tanjung Puting National Park, sleeping on board a traditional wooden klotok. Days are spent cruising the river and walking the forest: wild and semi-wild orangutans at the Tanjung Harapan and Pondok Tanggui feeding stations, proboscis monkeys, hornbills, the green tree python and insects for macro work, with night treks for herping once the boat is moored. The klotok sails privately with its own crew and an English-speaking local guide, all meals are served on board, and park entrance, camera fees and both night trekking permits are covered. Two nights are spent on the boat on the river, and the last morning closes with a final wildlife cruise back to Kumai. For every package sold, USD 20 per person goes to a conservation foundation that protects Bornean habitat.
